What is Velashape?
Velashape is a non-invasive procedure used to reduce the appearance of cellulite. The procedure uses a combination of bi-polar radiofrequency and infrared light energy to reduce targeted areas that contain cellulite. The device uses a vacuum and a specially designed roller for a mechanical massage to target areas with cellulite. By using radiofrequency and light energy, the body’s stored metabolic energy is activated and works to reduce the size of fat cells thus reducing the appearance of cellulite. Velashape can be used to reduce the appearance of cellulite in any area of the body, the most commonly treated sites being the stomach, abdomen and arms.
How many Velashape treatments are required to see results?
The number of treatments necessary is variable among patients, but generally results are noticed within four Velashape treatments.
Are follow-up treatments necessary?
The Velashape results are not permanent and generally last between one to six months. As a result, patients are recommended to get maintenance treatments periodically.
